Cuttlefish bone / Sepia Bone( = internal “skeleton” of sepia cuttlefish) is pure natural calcium carbonate (aragonite), which is in a solid but brittle, easy to crush and pulverize form. It can be used as a calcium supplement to all kinds of animals, especially reptiles and birds. Depending on the animal, sepia bone can be added to the food as powder or it can be placed in the animal enclosure and the animals can gnaw / pick it on their own; this method is suitable for birds, turtles, tortoises, rodents and snails.
