Ready-to-use terrarium heat lamp assembly for all E27 base incandescent bulbs, E27 halogen bulbs, compact fluorescent illumination and UV lamps and ceramic heaters with E27 base. This lamp is suitable for general heating or lighting terrarium / vivarium and it can be used to arrange a basking spot for reptiles or UVA / UVB lighting for terrarium animals or birds. Also suitable for other situations where a compact E27 light system is needed.

Ceramic E27 socket, aluminum reflector dome with polished interior for optimal reflection, removable protective aluminum grill basket and removable spring loaded attachment clamp. Power cable is equipped with a power switch. The lamp unit can be used inside a terrarium or placed on a terrarium mesh cover.

Internal dome dimensions help to estimate a suitable bulb size. Dome dept is measured from the base of the dome without the E27socket, hence the 30mm threaded part is deducted from the total length of the bulb. For example, 5½” version can handle a bulb which is 7,5cm (dome depth) + 3cm (protective grill depth) = 10,5cm long without the threaded part. Total length of the bulb can therefore be 10,5cm + 3cm (threaded part) = 13,5cm.

NOTE! The grill has a flat bottom, which can be easily bend to a curved shape in order to get more space for the bulb. This is usable with E27 fluorescent tubes that are longer than normal bulbs.
