Activated Carbon is microporous charcoal that has an excellent chemical absorbent capabilities. It can be used to remove chemical impurities from air and water, including toxins, pollutants, taste and color defects.

This activated carbon is made for aquarium use and it can be used in both fresh water and marine aquariums. It can also be applied in air filtration setups, for example in grow tents and it is suitable for sterilizing charcoal for vivarium soil / substrate.

It is recommended to rinse the charcoal with clean water before using it for aquarium water filtration.
