HL-BT400 aquarium filter is a combination of an internal aquarium filter and a submersible water pump. The unit can be assembled and used in a suitable configuration depending on the use.
When used as a filter, the water flow is directed from the bottom upwards through the filter material. HL-BT filters do not require a model specific filter sponges; the original can be replaced with any filter wool or sponge cut to suitable size. The filter also has a removable basket for loose filter material. Any filter material that can be fitted in the filter body can be used.
The filter is supplied with a sponge and a set of activated carbon.
HL-BT filters are supplied with a selection of alternative nozzle parts including an adjustable spray bar, diffuser jet with air intake tube and the larger models have a specific hose adapter (HL-BT400 = 14mm). The spray bar enables freely adjustable water flow direction; the flow can be directed towards aquarium wall if necessary.
HL-BT-filters can be alternatively used as a normal submersible water pump when the jet parts and filter body are removed.
HL-BT400 has a ceramic shaft. All HL-BT models are suitable for fresh water and marine water aquariums.
